This fun low-key event is not your everyday ORRRC race. The Gift Exchange 5k is a fun way to celebrate the holidays through running. Instead of an entry fee, all participants are to bring a wrapped gift (valued around $10). At the end of the race, we will have a giant gift exchange (hence the name of the race) among all participants.

WHEN: Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m.

LOCATION: Kettering Recreation Complex, 2900 Glengarry Drive, Kettering, OH 45420.

REGISTRATION: For onsite registration, we recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, register and warm-up prior to the race start.

FEES: There are no traditional entry fees for this race. Instead of an entry fee, all participants are to bring a wrapped gift valued around $10 to be entered in the gift exchange.

AWARDS: All participants will receive a gift as part of the gift exchange. Overall male and overall female winners will receive a special gift in addition to the exchange gift. Please note: do not bring alcoholic beverages or adult gifts to this race – this is a family-friendly event and children may receive your gift during the exchange.

VOLUNTEERS: Meet some new friends and have a great time while making a valuable contribution to the local running community by volunteering at this event. If you would like to help, please contact the race director(s) (below), and we’ll be sure to find a job for you!
Volunteers may participate in the gift exchange if they bring a gift.
