COURSE: This beautiful course consists of 13.1 miles on John Bryan’s/Clifton Gorge’s most scenic hiking trails.

COURSE MAP: Click Here

COURSE DETAILS: Start in a grassy area near the parking lot by the campground, follow the Arboretum trail before cutting around the lodge and onto the upper rim trail. It will then transition to the Orton trail. You will turn around at the Bear’s Den where there will be an aid station. When you arrive back at John Bryan, you will go down a rocky climb to the lower rim trail and cross the bridge to run the South Gorge Trail. You will cross another bridge and then run back along the Pittsburg-Cincinnati Stagecoach trail until you climb back up to the Upper Rim Trail and follow that to the turn around. You will then repeat the loop (minus the arboretum trail) a second time, and finish at the Shelter in the Campground.

AID STATIONS: Unmanned Water Stops 1) Bear’s Den  2) Lower rim trail after you cross the bridge.

Manned Aid Station 3) The turn-around before you head out on the second loop.

Due to some parts of the trail being difficult to carry water in/out, you may have to go 4 miles without an aid station. Please plan accordingly.
